4 tips for Organic Growth

Organic Growth

Organic Growth offers everyone a great way to take advantage of digital marketing for themselves. In a nut shell, organic growth is the ability to funnel people to your website without having to pay for advertising. So essentially you are turning your cold leads into warm leads! In most cases this advice is entirely free, depending on the amount of time you have to devote to this stuff it is pretty simple. Here are my 4 tips for organic growth. Standing out in a competitive market can be tough, so be sure to check out our post on it!

  1. SEO
  2. Social media
  3. Referral programs
  4. Content

1. SEO

Search engine optimization (SEO) boosts your spot on Google's search algorithm which makes it easier for people to naturally enter your site. I think we can all admit we rarely go to the second page of Google, so it is important to be found on the first page.

2. Build your Social media

Social media is a great way to build brand recognition for free, it also gives you the option to reach out for paid advertising. If you chose to do that an account with a few posts will sell your brand a lot better than a blank one. You might be asking “what should I post”? I like to follow the 70/20/10 rule when it comes to content. That means  70% original content, 20% relevant shared content, 10% purely promotional. I will talk more about this in my next post!

3. Referral programs

Referral programs are truly the best way to build and land new customers. Nothing is more powerful for sales than being referred to by a client's friend. When my friends recommend something I am much more likely to purchase it. It is important to create some incentive to help people feel the urge to refer their friends or coworkers to your product/service. Discounts are a great way of creating that incentive for services but for products it can be a little trickier. No matter what you decide to do for an incentive program it is important to ask for referrals. You cannot get what you do not ask for.

4. Make great content

Creating content that people want to interact with can be tricky, but it is important to follow the same SEO recommendations, within blog posts and infographics. Moreover, giving free content showing your knowledge will help people see you as the resident expert on specific content which is very good for your brand.
